Crystal Reports Formula

Can a formula return the equivalent value of a query result (Bookmark 1), such as the Access query shown below? The screenshot shown below shows the Access query. In other words, if you drag the File_1-Bookmark formula onto a report, it should display "Bookmark 1." Please help me write a formula that will display "Bookmark 1."

Here is the Access query:
SELECT Bookmark.bkName
FROM Bookmark INNER JOIN File ON Bookmark.bkMarkID = File.bkMarkID
WHERE (((File.File)="File_1"));

Is that data not available in the report?

Is the Access database on the same database server as the report data?

Try this SQL Expression
(
SELECT Bookmark.bkName
 FROM Bookmark INNER JOIN File ON Bookmark.bkMarkID = File.bkMarkID
 WHERE (((File.File)="File_1"));
)

What database are you using?

You may be able to use a SQL Expression to get what you want.

Is the data in the query?

I'm using Access 2010. Yes, the screenshot and PDF show the Access query that contains the data (Bookmark 1).

The SQL Expression worked. No, that data is not available in the report. The Access database, Crystal Reports and Visual Cut are on the same workstation. No server is used.
