Reset RecipientRateLimit Count for individual mailbox

We have a Throttling Policy in Exchange 2010 that sets the RecipientRateLimit to 1000.  We have a user that got a virus and was sending tons of emails.  Well he hit the rate limit and now is unable to send email for 24 hours.

Now that we've cleaned up his device and changed his password, is there a way to reset the RecipientRateLimit count for this individual?

Thanks!

For the daily limit?  I believe the only way to accomplish that might be to remove the ThrottlingPolicy from that individual mailbox.  Or create a new ThrottlingPolicy with higher limits and assign it (temporarily) to that individual mailbox.  And finally, set the policy back the prior one tomorrow.

Thanks Todd!

I didn't know you could assign policies to individual mailboxes.  I thought the policy was a global setting for all mailboxes.  I set his mailbox to the default global throttling policy, and then set him back to our custom policy.  This seems to have reset the count for him and he's able to send again.

Sounds good.

Can be set like this for a single mailbox...

Set-Mailbox -Identity MAILBOXUSER -ThrottlingPolicy POLICY
