I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Field 3 (type Text) calculated should be =IF(AND(Field1="Complete",Field2="Complete"),"Complete","Initial") - worked on my test site.

There's a terrific SharePoint calc'ed columns cheat sheet at  you have to register to download but free and you can any email address you have access to - I just use the one I use for shopping and doing this kind of thing which I never really check really.  Cheers
