Need mapped drive created when RDP user logs in...

Hello EE,

I am having a Windows 7 RDP issue.

Our old Windows XP Host died and I need to replace it.
> I would like to use Hyper-V to build a VM that will run Windows 7 Pro and make use of the free RDP user license that comes with it.
> On the VM, there is ONE application that needs to run when the Guest user remotes in - Which I have figured out how to do this and it works fine.
> The issue is that this application requires a "mapped drive" to be in place so that the application is launched it will authenticate the user, which will provide guest access to the Read Only reports.

I have been to get past the Guest using RDP to remote in and the one application is ran.. I just need to figure out the mapped drive.
> Most of my research has found suggestions which involve Terminal Server, which we do not have - We are using the cheater path of using the one free user license.

Any suggestions,

Hello Lee,

Not sure what all that means, but we did purchase a Windows 7 license for the copy we are using - I do not see any reason that we can not use this license on a PC that we put together, or take a used PC what had an older version of Windows, or a VM - Did I miss something in my logic?

OK, I think I understand... thanks for the input... as for the EULA's, maybe one day the companies out there will remember that the majority of their purchasers are not lawyers and provide something that doesn't cost $450.00 an hour to understand... may be the reason why most folds "just hit accept"...

Take care
