ubuntu voice control

i'm trying to add voice control to ubuntu 17.10.  i saw a video where the command "v-c" was added to ubuntu and somehow you could write code with it.  it says to write v-c<<help (i think) .  i tried to get help and my computer sayts the command does't exist

I think this is what you want. It has apt-get commands and other advice for the v-c series of commands.

Duncan Roe: Thanks.  I'll give this question a bit more precedence than any other because moving in my browser (Chrome because it does voice recognition) gets kind of tiresome.  so do typing questions to you.  i have ms and only my left hand works.  luckily, i'm left handed.  my left index finger gets tired.  i tried dragon naturally speaking.  i got tired of updates telling me to leave the computer on because it was installing updates.

I would do an apt-get and try the v-c commands it will install

sorry.  i was at he doctor's office.  i'm back and trying to get voice control to work in ubuntu.  i used dragon naturally speaking in windows 7 but it did too many updates and i came back to ubuntu.
