Restore print files from tape cartridge backup

On an AIX system, I need to restore some print files which were backed up to a year-end backup.  The system they were backed-up from is almost full and has no room to restore files.

I just need to get the reports onto another media which can be used to view the reports.

Any recommendations on a vendor which can provide these services?

good afternoon

Good afternoon, I recommend using Veeam Backuo, it is a very powerful and complete backup and restoration tool, easy to install-

You also have a backup utility called VRanger that is lighter than the first one, just as easy to use.

Watch for your comments.
1.- R@f@r Veaam Backup does not support IBM AIX OS. And Rick is asking for an AIX backup he already has, not for suggestion on using new products (I think).

2.- Rick, why don't you try to delete stuff (there are usually plenty of things that can be freed from a running system), or compact logs with gzip -9, delete old .rpm's, etc, and make some room so you can restore from tape?.
You can always restore some files, download them to your PC, delete them from AIX and restore some more if space is really at a premium.

There are media format conversion companies, but just for one tape? might not be worth the hassle (and price tag).

To carry out an AIX cleanup safely, use the following IBM KDBs (this are for AIX v7.2, but you can choose your particular AIX version):
