Soft reset of airport time capsule returns ‘password not valid’

Soft reset of airport time capsule returns ‘password not valid’

After entering soft reset mode for Apple Time Machine, attempt to clear (delete) password, with Airport Utility, (i.e. reset/update time capsule guest account) failed and returned ‘password not valid’

My goal was to have no password requirement for guest account - users could connect to LAN with Windows 7 laptop without name/password requirements.

How do I achieve this setup?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You need to connect the Windows 7 PC to the wireless once using a non-guest account and then the guest account will inherit the settings.
