How do I restore a server from a Windows backup?
I have a server running Server 2012. I made a backup of the OS drive, and it is broken up into the following:
Backup 2018-03-19 021305
Catalogs
Logs
SPPMetadata Cache
Medaid
Now if my server crashes, how do I take these folders to re-install to bring it back with all the settings? Is there a step by step list on how to take these folders to a bootable disk and then re-install. the server has a Data partition that is saved to the cloud every night, The server is split into a raid 1 and raid 5.

What I would recommend you is getting a third party backup tool and doing backup of your system with it. Ghost, Paragon, Acronis, Shadow Protect or even Veam are offering solutions for backup and recovery. There are too many problems with inbuilt Windows Server Backup feature.
Hello,
Your server is virtual or physical?

It is a physical server
You'll still need a Windows OS disk for the OS you have on your server. If your server needs a rebuild you boot from the OS disk and select repair computer and choose to restore from an image. That image is made up of the files that are created from Windows Server backup so providing these are on a USB drive just plug that in, select it and the system should restore itself from that image.
Once that's restored you'd then need to restore your data from your cloud backup.
