Cannot play video link inside a GMAIL note. I have since narrowed this down to the Chrome Browser. The video works OK in Edge.
Windows 10 Home with GMAIL as the email engine. Cannot open a link in the email. This appears to be related to links that are video. For example, here is a partial link since I don't think you want the entire URL listed. http://player.vimeo.com/video/..... It isn't just this link. Other video links do not open either. What I don't understand is why this link will open in other similar configured systems. I don't think this is related to a driver since we can play video when downloaded.

More info is needed, but, this may be the video type is not support in that browser without a plugin or feature enablement.

I have no idea what else you would need. I think I'll just close the question and assume that there is something about Google's Chrome that is not allowing the video to play.
You should share such a link instead of closing. Any example would do.

I don't know what you mean by sharing a link. I could provide the link but I thought that was not permissible. I do think the link is public though.
Is there any publicly available video that you cannot play in chrome? Please share it, so I can have a look at it.

Not entirely. I just gave up. It works in Edge so that's what we're doing. There is not enough time in the day to work thru all of the issues that can come up....most of us just want to get on with our work.
