A couple of the staff use Macs. Is it possible for them to sync their calendars and contacts with Google Suite using Outlook for Mac 2016 as the front end?
For Windows Outlook Google have a syncing tool. Is there a Mac equivalent or if not what is the workaround?
Many thanks.

You don't need Outlook as a synchronization hub. You can sync your Google Calendar and Contact directly with the "Internet Accounts" options in System Preferences. Once input your Gmail or the email associated with your Google Suite, the system will prompt you options to sync Calendars and Contacts.

So it works very differently on a Mac than Windows? I don't need to download any software just take the options you indicate?
Both Windows and macOS have built in support for Google Contact and Calendars. You don’t need to download anything, just add the account in System Preferences on your Mac.
NO - apparently you can't sync Google Suite with Outlook for Mac period. There are two programs under development, CardDav and CalDav, that effect the contacts and calendars respectively that will address this problem. Does anyone know of how to get hold of these or any other workaround. Many thanks.
