Outlook 2016 util/method to merge duplicate contacts

What utilities or methods can be used to merge duplicate contacts within Outlook 2016?

I need to reconcile over 4,000 contacts to be sure that only one contact exists for every unique email address.

What are the best utilities or methods available for doing this?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi Knowledgeable,

There is an excellent article that describes how you can do that manually step by step, without the need for any third party tools on the AbleBits.com website.

How to merge duplicate contacts in Outlook 2016, 2013 and 2010

If you prefer to use a tool, "Outlook Duplicate Remover" will also do the job, but it's a commercial product that requires purchase. The pricing is very reasonable though. You can download a trial to see if it works well for you as well before you need to purchase.

Here's another option available from ExtendOffice who specialize in providing tools for jobs like this.

Check out "Merge Duplicate Contacts In Outlook 2010, 2013 And 2016" and see if you prefer that option.

I hope that's helpful.

Regards, Andrew
