Refresh Sub Form and Printing Issue - Access 2013

How to refresh a sub form when you select a new record in the main form and printing issue.

Pl refer to attached file. I have a form "FormDCEntry" which has a sub form. I am finding difficulty in refreshing the contents of the subform when I move to the next record. What I want is when I move to the next record in the main form the contents of the sub form should also get refreshed and blank. I tried to OnCurrent property and Re query but its not working

And second please refer to Report1. When I print /preview the report the field Protocol No prints ID number instead of the actual Protocol Name . I know this has something to do with the column selection but am not able to figure out.
Need help to set this 2 things right.

Thank you for the help

You haven't set the Link Master Field and the Link Child Field.  Doing this will allow Access to manage the subform records based on the parent record selected.

In regard to your report, you need to create a query for your report and join the tblProtocolMaster with tblDCEntry. Output the value from tblProtocolMaster that you want to see in the report and use that.
