Conversion from Windows 2016 Standard evaluation to Windows 2016 Standard Licensed

I am in the process of converting a windows 2016 standard evaluation version to a fully licensed version.
I used the dism /online /set-edition:ServerStandard /productkey:KMS_CDKey /accepteula

It has been at 10% for the last 30minutes.
How long does this process take?

Depends on the build number (EVAL prior to 14393.0.161119-1705 is complicated) and the role the server with the evaluation version has been assigned (you can't easily do this with a DC for example without demoting it first)
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/get-started/supported-upgrade-paths

I'd certainly allow a few hours

For readers of this archived thread, it should be noted that you need to convert it as the author has been trying. You cannot simply change the key on an evaluation version like described in the second comment.
