Error RDP

Please, With the release of the Windows 10 Version 1703 Microsoft introduced a bug in the remote desktop connection.

It was no longer possible to connect to a Remote Desktop Gateway server running. When trying to start our RDP, our customers would immediately receive the following error:

"Your computer can't connect to the Remote Desktop Gateway server..." Attached error.

Please do you know what is the step to resolve this error or what is the windows patch to fix it .

best regards,

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Open Remote Desktop Connection, More Options, Local Resources and uncheck Printers and Clipboard.

Restart the computer and test.

That has worked for me.
Is the Remote Desktop Gateway server on the latest version? If not, it may just need updating to make the problem go away.

Active Protection takes the fight to cryptojacking

While there were several headline-grabbing ransomware attacks during in 2017, another big threat started appearing at the same time that didn’t get the same coverage – illicit cryptomining.

Do you Know  what is the kb ?
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
Have you checked your firewall for conflicts?

Check your advanced network sharing options to ensure Network Discovery is ON and Homegroup is OFF.

Check that Allow remote connections is Enabled on the target machine.

Windows 7 :  It was possible to connet via remote Desktop ... on windows 2012

Windows 10  Version 1703  : We can't to connet  via remote Desktop ... on windows 2012

Do you have any device? please
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
The only reason I have seen for this issue with V1703 is the Printer Resource settings in RDP.

On the Windows 10 machine, double check the RDP settings and ensure Printer is OFF under resources.

Now open cmd.exe with Run as Administrator and run:

dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Now restart the Windows 10 Computer and test.

Also upgrade this computer to V1709 and test again.

isn't working
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
You upgraded to V 1709 and it is not working?

First do you have any other Windows 10 machine to test with.

Second, consider doing a repair install

Windows 10 is running, so click on the Download button (not Upgrade Button, select Open (Run) but NOT Save. Allow the program to run. Allow drivers to update. Then select Keep Everything

I can't update because I have 700 workstation
Do you Know what is the KB patch to update and fix the errer please .
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
Try on ONE machine.

Do you have 700 workstations that cannot use RDP?
DRRAMAuthor Commented:
Yes but I can't because we don't remove  all configuration and applications and install it
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
If you have 700 workstations that cannot use RDP, then it is likely a Server problem. Check the access settings on the server.

It's Working from Windows 7 to Windows server 2012

I understand but there must be a server issue if you 700 Windows 10 Machines that do not work

do you advise me  what is the problem on server 2012 ?
JohnBusiness Consultant (Owner)Commented:
Since Windows 7 can access, it would seem to be a firewall issue but I cannot be more specific than that.
