exchange 2010 too many concurrent deliveries of this message at this time,400 4.4.7
hi all
someone in our org sent an email to a distribution list with quite a lot of recipients in it. Some were received straight away and the rest were received around 24 hours after the original was sent.
in the tracking logs it says "too many concurrent deliveries of this message at this time,400 4.4.7 "
Just wondering is this a configurable limit or more performance related as in exchange wasn't able handle sending one email to that many address's at the time

also are all the recipients internal user or a mixture of internal and external?

email was 3MB, 392 internal recipients no external. Think the other admin was running some content reindexing at the same time the email was sent so suspect that has something to do with it
