Can't change the color of one of the shapes embedded in the Master Style in PowerPoint

How do I change the color of the vertical bar in front of the text in this PowerPoint presentation. I was able to do it with other similar shapes in the Master Slide editor but so far I haven't been able to select the turquoise bar to the left of "Click to edit Master text styles" and change its color. How do I do that.

Thanks!

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This looks like it's probably a picture bullet, in which case you'd need access to the original picture or you'll have to create your own.

Just in case it's not, though, try this:

1. Put your cursor in that line of text
2. Home tab --> click the downward arrow next to the Bullets button, then click Bullets and Numbering at the bottom of that bullet gallery.
3. Click the COLOR paint bucket and choose a different color.
