How can I import a XML Document into Access through VBA WITH a Transformer XSLT File Automatically.

How can I import a XML Document into Access through VBA WITH a Transformer Automatically.

I currently have:
Application.ImportXML fp2 & APICALL & "_ReturnFile.xml", acStructureAndData

Open in new window

But how can I automatically run it through a transformer (XSLT) file first?

Thanks for the help.

HI,

pls try
Public Sub TransformAndImportXML()
    Dim strFile As String, strPath As String
    ' REFERENCE MS XML, v6.0
    Dim xmlDoc As New MSXML2.DOMDocument60, xslDoc As New MSXML2.DOMDocument60
    Dim newDoc As New MSXML2.DOMDocument60

    strFile = fp2 & APICALL & "_ReturnFile.xml"

    xslDoc.Load "C:\test\transformer.xsl"

        Set xmlDoc = New MSXML2.DOMDocument60
        Set newDoc = New MSXML2.DOMDocument60

        xmlDoc.Load strFile

        xmlDoc.transformNodeToObject xslDoc, newDoc
        newDoc.Save "C:\test\temp.xml"

        Application.ImportXML "C:\test\temp.xml", acStructureAndData

    Set xmlDoc = Nothing: Set xslDoc = Nothing: Set newDoc = Nothing
End Sub
