How to use Adobe PhotoShop CC to drop in images

Using Adobe PhotoShop CC to drop in images

I can do a few things with PhotoShop, but forget how to insert another smaller image atop of the underlying image.

What steps are there?

Thanks

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

When you drag, place or paste an image into Photoshop, each image will be automatically put on its own layer.
If a small image is behind a larger one, you can simply drag the smaller one up in the Layer panel, Window > Layers.

Ok, when I am sure to paste in a smaller image, I can see the image. I need to move it though. How can I select just that new pasted image?
