How to repair install Windows 2012 standard server with Windows 2012 ISO
Hi
I have windows 2012 server and SQL is installed on this server and this is our database server. The task manger is not working on this server and when I right click the task bar and click the task manager the window is blank and the timing glass is thinking. If I click on the task manager windows, it says (Task Manager not responding).
So I ran DISM from command prompt and it gave me the below message as shown.
I restarted the Windows 2012 server after DISM and tried to open the task manager and no joy and the Task manger hangs when opened.
In the forum I was suggested to repair the install with 2012 Media, If the task manager doesn’t work. We use VMware and I can see the ISO for Windows 2012 Standard on one of the data stores. Will it be safe to do the repair OR Is there any other steps that I can try?
Please post me tutorials as how to repair the install through Windows 2012 ISO.
Thanks

The domain\administrator profile was corrupt.I tried logging in with a different domain administrator account and the task manager worked fine with this account.

Please see the snapshot and there is a SQL server 2012 Service pack 4. Please suggest if I need to install this optional service pack update and other updates as well?
The task manager was working fine in the past and not sure from when it stopped working.
We have installed some very important third party applications that exports users data from this SQL server to the cloud.
We have Veeam backup of the server.
Thanks
