EXCHANGE, EMAIL

getting error

Please see below TLS test results. Your email providers hostname does not verify.
Please contact your email provider. We won’t be able to establish secure TLS tunnel connection
until this is resolved.

while sending email
Cert Hostname DOES NOT VERIFY (mxb-00xxxxxslb.xxhosted.com != *.xxhosted.com | DNS:*.xxhosted.com | DNS:xxhosted.com)
(see RFC-2818 section 3.1 paragraph 4 for info on wildcard ("*") matching)
So email is encrypted but the host is not verified

so what does this mean

As long are you name space is on your SSL cert, I would have the sender look at this. If you name space is mail.domain.com, then that should be on your SSL cert.

Do you have an on-prem exchange or is your email hosted by a 3rd party like a cloud service?

This error looks like its regarding the Cert of the recipient. Was this a test from some app or from an email you was actually sending out?

This looks to be something the sender needs to deal with, not you if your cert is correct.

Cert Hostname DOES NOT VERIFY (mxb-00xxxxxslb.xxhosted.com != *.xxhosted.com | DNS:*.xxhosted.com | DNS:xxhosted.com)

but xxhosted.com is our smart host also what it means "So email is encrypted but the host is not verified"
