EV SQL-2014 and vault stores maintenance plans-EV 12.1

I'm planning to create maintenance plan for enterprise vault 12.1 SQL vault store.
Does it negative impact for our environment if I re-indexing in SQL DBs in maintenance plan?
We are doing these tasks first time in Exchagne 2016 and ev archiving/ev journaling mailboxes and ev sql databases.
Please suggest.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, you need to perform Index Rebuild/Reorganize for better performance.
Please find the official link from EV on the list of tuning that should be done:
And the steps to perform Index Rebuild Maintenance plan in the below link

Above link states for SQL Server 2008 and you can follow similar steps for SQL Server 2014

Hi Raja,

Can rebuilding indexes cause worse performance after rebuild is finished for EV SQL Databases?

Raja Jegan RSQL Server DBA & Architect, EE Solution GuideCommented:
Nope, ideally Index Rebuild will help in better performance by creating an optimal execution plan.
However there is a catch that the first time execution of queries referring to the rebuilt indexes will force the creation of a new execution plan which can take a little bit longer but it would be insignificant compared to the query running with heavily fragmented indexes.
