Unable to delete .MOV files from iPhone X

When I try to delete .MOV files from my iPhone X (running iOS v 11.2 (15C114) while this iPhone is connected to my Windows 10 computer using the USB cable I get a message that says "[Filename.MOV could not be deleted. You do not have permission to delete this item" (see the screenshot).

What process can I use to delete all of the .MOV files? Can this be done through iTunes?

I currently have 99 of these files and need to delete all of them.

It means your iCloud Photo Library is turned on. Manual management of camera roll is disabled if iCloud Photo Library is switched on. Check here for more information: https://www.howtogeek.com/219092/why-cant-i-delete-photos-off-my-iphone-anymore/

You can try doing it through iTunes by telling the application to sync an empty local library. It will turn off iCloud Photo Library and remove the contents from the iPhone's photo app. However, this only removes the local copies of the file, if you turned on iCloud Photo Library again, your videos will drop right back to the device.

Alternatively, you can delete the videos on the iCloud webpage since all of your videos are stored there. This process would be easy if you do it on a Mac since you can just select all and delete the videos in the Photo application.

You may also try to manage the iPhone camera roll with third-party applications like iMazing, iExplorer or iPhone Backup Extractor.
