Desktop icons are not loading on a windows 2012 VM - VMware
Hi
We use VMware and I have a Windows 2012 servers and SQL is installed on this server and strangely the server is very slow since 1 week and not responding to control panel, administrative tools, task manager and I restarted the server when I login as domain \administrator the desktop is completely black and it is not loading any desktop icons.
The vSphere client version is 5.5.0 and I also tried on the vSphere client, I right clicked the VM and open console and the screen is black here as well.
Please suggest how to resolve this and any help will be great.

Yes , i have the Windows 2012 ISO on one of the data store. Do need to mount the iso on the vsphere nad restart the server.

I tried logging into the server with another admin user tradmin\administrator and the desktop icons loads and also the Task manager opens successfully under this tradmin account.
Please let know as what could have gone wrong with domain\administrator.
As I have successfully logged into the windows 2012 servers as tradmin\administrator now. Is there a way to make the domain\administrator account work. Will it be a profile issue?

OK , I will login is as tradmin\administrator to delete the administrator profile which is under C:\Users\
Please let me know if any services will stop if I delete the domain\administrator profile ?

on the vsphere client i right click the server and open console and and the screen is blank and if i right click the cursor disappears.
I can recollect now Initially when task manager was not opening, I ran run dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
since then the desktop is not loading.
Please suggest
