Add datastore to all hosts at once? vCenter 6.5

In vCenter if you add a datastore to a host, is there a way to make that data store automatically accessible to the other hosts in vCenter? Without having to go to each host and manually add a new datastore to the existing LUN on the storage server?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If the tools for your SAN does not include a plugin which creates a LUN and then presents this LUN automatically to all hosts in the cluster

We use PowerCLI scripts to automate adding LUNs to host

Ok it looks like it worked however I had to go manually "Rescan storage..." on the hosts for them to show up. Is there a way to automate that in the GUI settings?

Your LUNs must have already been presented to your hosts then, or an Initiator Group!

If you run a refresh (scan storage) for datastores and LUNs on a single host in a cluster, it should trigger a refresh on all hosts I believe.

otherwise it's a scripts or command at the console, or remote.
