Hello i need help to figure out whats is going on with this please help.. i am building 2 VMs from hyper-v (Azure) as windows cluster when i go validate the cluster it brings the D drive offline on both the nodes and i see the error in the report as ( failed while verifying removal of any persistent reservation ) but i can manually bring the D drive online in computer managment, i tried to run the commands i seen online which is   Clear-ClusterDiskReservation -Disk but when i do that it would say failed to clear persistent reservation from disk . even i deleted both VMs and recreated new ones from Hyper-v (Azure) but it is still doing the same thing. i have also tried Diskpart to clear attributes in disk but none of this is working :/

Hello,

As I understand it does not let you delete the disk d, along with your files? or am I wrong?

I remain attentive to your comments.

Run the Test-Cluster PowerShell with -NoStorage. Azure will not offer persistent reservations since that's a hardware level storage process.

Please follow the guidelines in the Azure documentation to properly set up a guest cluster using Azure VMs.

Let's start with some basics then: Deploying IaaS VM Guest Clusters on Azure.

Notice the acceptable workloads given in the above do not include Hyper-V.

That's about the most authoritative post I can find on the subject.
