Export a VM and get a VMDK or OVF file.

Hello,

I need to export a VM image and get a VMDK file.  I cannot shut this VM down and do an export.

What is the best way to do it without affecting production?

Thanks.

Impossible then, and CANNOT be down with a Power DOWN of the VM!

If you have vCenter server you can do a clone of this VM and then easily grab vmdk file from clonned machine. No downtime is required.
