Excel Lookup Rows on two Worksheets

I have a list of all employees, ‘Master List’, which contains all the data about them   (24,000 employees)

I have a list of employees, ‘logged in’,  which contains only the employees that logged on the system   (4,000 employees)

How can I figure out which employees on the ‘Master List’  are also on the ‘logged in’   (they logged into the system recently)?

I need to work from the ‘Master List’  so the indicator has to be in a new column in the ‘Master List’ sheet

Here's one thing you could try:

1 Add a header in C1 on the 'Master list' sheet, e.g. Logged In.

2 Put this formula in C2 on 'Master list':

=IF(ISERROR(MATCH(A2,'logged in'!A:A,0)),"No", "Yes")

3 Copy the formula down.
