I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Most ISPs and web hosts will only allow 100 to 250 emails per hour or sometimes per day so it is going to take a long time to send out that many emails.  2000 hours, 83.3 days.

You should look at a company to do this, an not software you will locally run. Look into pricing for that from a company like "Constant Contact"

I use and can highly recommend SendBlaster for this.

Been using it to send email to different segments of my client base for a few years now and think it's great. A ton of features yet very intuitive and easy to use. Give the fully functional free version a try and if it suits you, you can purchase a license to get a ton of additional benefits - very reasonably priced too.

I don't like the online Bulk Email solutions and prefer to have one installed on my own computer. You can use any SMTP server you like and have access to, though I prefer to subscribe to Turbo-SMTP which I find to be a superior SMTP server and doesn't limit the number of emails you can send, or how quickly you can send them.

What I like is that you can write your emails in Outlook or whatever email client you prefer and import them straight into SendBlaster for sending. Imports and exports email list etc. Has a built-in Spam Checking tool as well, which gives you a score as to how likely your sends are going to be considered as Spam. Truly is a great little tool.

I've found their support service to be exceptional as well.

I hope that's helpful.

Regards, Andrew

Edit: One other thing, once you've purchased SendBlaster, there's no more to pay regardless of how many emails you send. That's another benefit over the Online solutions like Mail Chimp.
