What tool to use for upgrading HP firmware proliant servers gen 9.

HP Firmware upgrade.
We do have 11 boxes HP proliant Gen 9 that we need to upgrade there firmware once in while.
i do know the way with the ILO upgrade but that is using port 21 FTP wich is blocked by company policy and stays blocked.
I want to setup a server in our domain  that scans the firmware on the servers and download the correct upgrades and manual push it to the servers for an upgrade over the network.
I did this with Dell Idrac in the past but not sure wich software to setup for ILO HP stuff.
On the website there are a couple of tools but more commercial talk then Tech talk.
Whats is the best route for my goals?
Many thanks.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Check if hp provides a similar tool, though you would have had to setup ilo and usually it shoukd be on a management network or accessible from such.

Any tool that you use will have to get a firewall exception. What is allowed?
