are there any private foundations or organizations which award personal grants for dental expenses?

Hello and Good Evening Everyone,

On behalf of a very dear and close friend,  I am needing to ask the following upcoming question.   Are there any online charitable organizations which award grants to help senior citizens and disabled individuals with dental bills?  My friend recently required extensive dental work which also required dentures and bridges.  Her total bill was over $3200.  Seeing that she is on a fixed low income, I am wondering if there are private foundations or organizations which award personal grants to less fortunate individuals with related expenses.  While she does have Medicare insurance, it does not cover any dental cost.

If anyone has any suggestions or guidance to lend toward this important concern, it will be deeply appreciated.   Thank you so much for your understanding and care of this question.  I look forward to reviewing and following up on any and all leads.

I think you or your friend should ask the dentist about this.  Why?

1. The dentist may discount the bill a bit to help. The dentist may have already helped in this way.

2. The dentist will know about local organizations that may help. I have heard of organizations here but local to you would be much better.
