Letters not appear beside the cursor - Apple Mail

Hello!

I have some problems with Macs at my job. People use Apple Mail to send their emails. OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

Everyhing worked fine until last week. If she wrote a email and put her cursor back in a sentence, the letters are writing at the end of it.

She cannot put her letters where she want, they always go at the end of the sentence even if she place the cursor everywhere in it.

Do you have an idea of what is the problem? I did the command trick to put the encoding to UTF-8 as default. It works 2 days and the problem came back.

El Capitan is quite old - you can't upgrade to (High) Sierra? What kind of Mac is this about?

Yes, I can upgrade to High Sierra. Maybe the update with patch this issue.

No problem, I'm on High Sierra and I tested what you describe in Apple Mail and I don't have seen the issue that you describe.
