Can't delete a service

sc delete is not working for me to delete service.  this is a windows 2012 os.  Any suggestions?  
the error that we are receiving is "The specified service does not exist as an installed service"

SC works with the service name, not display name, are you sure you are specifying the correct name?

Have you tried instsrv <service name> remove?

And are you running the cli are admin?

Try this-
Use the service name to delete the service.And place that name within double quotes.
Also, it is possible that you might be using the display name of the service to delete it, sometimes it is different from the service name.

Another way through regway. Before performing please take a backup of reg key.
Go to HKLM\System\CurrentControlServices\services\ and search for your Service Key. delete the key, reboot . this should help you out.
