Need a way to use Instagram on my Macbook instead of just my phone.

I want to use Instagram on my Macbook instead of on my phone. The way the app works is you can only upload photos on a mobile device. Is there a work-around so that I am able to use it on my Macbook?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

It is a different app but this should work. I hope so.

Quote from the Macworld article:

First off, open Safari and head to Preferences > Advanced and make sure Show Develop Menu in Menu Bar is toggled on. From there, head to the Instagram website and log in to your account. Then select Develop > User Agent > Safari - iOS 10 - iPhone.
CEOs need to know what they should worry about

Nearly every week during the past few years has featured a headline about the latest data breach, malware attack, ransomware demand, or unrecoverable corporate data loss. Those stories are frequently followed by news that the CEOs at those companies were forced to resign.

I'd rather not use Safari because I'm a Chrome person, but I will try these and see if it's what I'm looking for.

Keep in mind that the Safari method will not give you any filters, nor will it allows you to upload videos. Look for third-party applications if you are looking to apply filters/upload videos.

You can do mobile view with Chrome as well, right click the web page in Chrome and click Inspect. Then toggle the icon beside Elements to enable mobile view. The icon is a smartphone and a tablet.

The Safari solution worked! I am also able to apply filters, although I didn't try uploading a video yet. I was able to upload a photo as desired. The Chrome work-around didn't work, though. That's alright, the Safari solution is fine!

Thanks for the update.

Glad it worked! I didn't know web-based Instagram supports filters. Learned something new today as well.
