Exchange 2016 reporting

Exchange 2016 - How can I see how many emails sent and received on my exchange 2016 server? Either via GUI or Powershell ?

Nothing fancy, just quick stats for the month. or each month for the last 12 months.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Get Mimecast to protect your exchange server, they have a portal for this kind of thing.

There are also mail search options in the ECP, the newer versions of message tracking are in ECP.
