Windows store annoying, search for application to open software.

Dear expert

After update windows 10 from 1703 to 1709, when I start a self programmed application, windows always search a application in windows appstore to open it, It doesn't matter if I choose  Yes or No it really didn't happen much, the application still starts as it should, only that everytime it ask about search a application in windows store... its annoying. Now I know I can turn windows store off but if there is any other solution would be great.

Thanks

It's a exe file...

What matters, is the file extension - and it won't be .exe, else, windows would not ask what to do with it.
What extension is it and why wouldn't
-> Select "try an app on this pc" -> check "always use this app..." ->select the app.
work?
