I have a client with a older DVR that they normally just view on a monitor. Now we need to pull and backup video from it. It's an 8 Channel Northern DVR.
I have downloaded on their computer as far as I can tell the appropriate software from this website.
I have the software set up and I believe I have it talking to the DVR correctly since it comes up with 8 different cameras to view, but I get no actual live video on the screen. If I go to playback, it errors out. Yet, I can connect directly to the DVR through it's IP address. I have the correct login information (admin, 1234). Can you help out?
