Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If the files were deleted the database should be marked as Suspect. Is that the case?

The database doesn't exist anymore. Is expected that in the next SQL Server restart that the database won't be presented.
You can always try to run DROP DATABASE command to see what happens.

Was the 'delete' statement remove the database or do you have to restart the sql server service in order to remove the database ?
