Determining amount of space being taken up by photos

Hello Experts - I have a virtual instance of Server 2012 acting as a file server.  I'd like to see what percentage of the available disk space is being taken up by photos.  Is there a way to figure that out aside from searching for photos, selecting all, and choosing properties to add up the total size?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can download a disk analysis program such as
Disk Analyzer Pro
But I bet there are other experts around here who can show you a way to do it via command line.
