Are editable grids supported on the Web control for Dynamics 365, 8.2.2 On Premise?

We are running Dynamics 365, version 8.2.2.112, On Premise.  A quote product editable grid on the quote is not editable.

We have tried downloading a solution from GitHub but it did not resolve the issue.

My question is; are editable grids supported on the Web control for Dynamics 365, 8.2.2 On Premise?

If not, is there are workaround?

Thanks

Hi Apollo7,

Long time eh? :)

For an editable grid to be supported only if the following conditions are met

  • The entity is customizable (IsCustomizable = true)
  • The entity is either refreshed (IsAIRUpdated = true) or a custom entity (IsCustomEntity = true)
  • The entity is not a child entity (IsChildEntity = false)

I think your scenario falls under the third point and hence the grid is disabled.

Only way out is to use a custom grid implementation and put it as a web resource on the form.

Regards,
Chinmay.

Quote  Products can be edited on a Quote Form but not by using the Editable Grid feature.
But sub-grid for Quote Products on the Quote Form uses a "special" view called Quote Products Inline View. You can't customize this view or use a different view - if you want editing to work on the quote form.

Please check your Quote form and view used for Quote Product.
