Configure Fortigate 100e as firewall with mail server

I need to know if there is any way to know how i can configure fortigate 100E to working as firewall for my mail server , I have Internet leased connection need to configure it on fortigate sand connect it with mail server .

Yes, if you have a support contract with Fortinet run this through them as a call.
If you do not have one I would get one.

I would recommend using Mimecast and then to Nat that through your firewall securely.

Otherwise you can make a bad choice and send and receive internet directly over the internet through your ISP smtp server.

The second solution is pretty bad, the only reason I am suggesting it is because other people will do so just to get points.

Also just to be clear the Fortigate will protect your exchange or mail server externally internet facing wise, not internally, if you want an internal firewall use a 3rd party product or windows firewall.

Thanks i have configure fortigate successfully and everything is working fine just would like to need how i configure to connect to my fortigate by Device Public IP , is this can be done through WAN port configuration or from ip policy

good! do you mean you want to NAT an external IP Address to your mail server? this should be covered in the link i sent.

Try and be more clear on what you need, I will try my best to help.

To access your SMTP/IMAP/Exchange service from internet, you have to create the port forwarding rule on FortiGate. Refer the below article for the step by step instruction,

To protect your mail server from internet, I would recommend you to enable DOS protection, AV, IPS and AntiSpam profile.
