Outlook does not use the right email address

I had this question after viewing Autocomplete email addresses changing/sending to strange address in Outlook 2010.

I am using outlook 365 on windows 7. I have  a strange situation with one email adress i use very often. When i type "Kurt" in the Adress field, the autocomplete shows me the correct email adress "kurt.xxxx@correctdomain.com". When i hit enter, outlook puts a very old adress of this person "xxxxx.kurt@olddomain.com" . In my address books i have no longer an entry with "xxxxx.kurt@olddomain.com". I do not want to clear the whole autocomplete list. Any proposal  to elimante xxxxx.kurt@olddomain.com ?

Thanks

Gilbert

Delete just that address from the auto-complete list, by pressing the 'X' next to the user when you type kurt.
See attachment if you need assistance with doing this.

Thanks for your help.
I used the nk2_edit tool. (Very nice tool, thanks !) There was no entre with xxxxx.kurt@olddomain.com .I deleted all entries related to Kurt, including kurt.xxxx@correctdomain.com. After saving the nk2 file, i returned to outlook but the problem remains.
I did not mention on my post, that i am also a user of "correctdomain.com", so kurt is a user lisd in the active directory of our domain (user code is kfa).  so when i type "kfa" or "kurt" outlook  tries to resolve the adress.
what happens is thhe following :
1. All entries related to kurt are deleted in the nk2 file.
2. Firt time i type kurt in the "To" field and i press Tab he resolves the name on the correct way with  kurt.xxxx@correctdomain.com, but he displays the user name of the active directory. Everything is fine, but ...
3. When i type  once again kurt in the "To" Field, now he has an entry in the nk2 file and he displays  kurt.xxxx@correctdomain.com.but when i press tab it is replaced with xxxxx.kurt@olddomain.com ....

Have you attempted this via OWA to see what would happen. Also make sure that the old address isn't a proxy email address on the mailbox.

GilbertAuthor Commented:
With OWA it works fine. The problem seems only to happen on my office computer.
In case it is a proxy email address on the mailbox, the problem should happen on every computer in the office ?

as a proxy that really shouldn't have anything to do with it honestly.
make sure the address isn't in the local contacts. not the GAL but the local outlook contacts.
