3CX Import/Export contacts

I have an implementation of 3CX with soft phones . Recently i add also telephone (IP/VOIP) except of soft phone. the IP telephones are working properly but now  I need to export the contacts from the soft phone to IP telephone.

I am looking for a step by step instructions how to do it.

There isn't a way to export from the softphone unfortunately. Here would be the best way to go about it (especially for a large number of contacts):

Put all of the contacts in a CSV file and import that into 3CX. If you need a sample phonebook, here is a link to one from 3CX (don't worry about the reference to V12.5, I pulled this from the version 15 manual): http://downloads.3cx.com/downloads/misc/ImportCompanyPhonebookSampleV125.csv

To import the CSV file once you have it all set, you would do the following in the Management Console:
  • Go to Contacts
  • Choose Import
  • Select your CSV file from wherever you've saved it.

For the future, if you need to add contacts via softphone that you want the entire company to be able to use, be sure to check the "Add to company phonebook" box when creating the contact.

For all of the things that 3CX has been good at, there are a number of features that would make sense that they have yet to implement. You should submit a suggestion to them for the ability to export contacts from a softphone.
