MS Excel on OneDrive won't save

I am struggling to figure out why MS Excel with One Drive is so unreliable. I open a spreadsheet, make changes and all goes well one time, then the next time I get a message that says errors were detected while saving http:/.... It gives me options but they all fail and it won't even let me close Excel without saving. Am I the only one having this problem, and is there a cure to get it to be reliable?

OneDrive now has AutoSave built in.

I have experienced no issues with working with OneDrive since I changed about 18 months ago.

Is this happening with all files or just occasionally?

I have only tried using OneDrive a few times since it was available as it was flaky from day 1. Because it offers 1TB storage I have used it for cloud backup of infrequently used files.

Recently I have wanted to explore OneDrive for collaboration but every second or third time I used it I had problems similar to this. Sometimes it will save, other times I need to save with a different name then go back and delete the old version and rename the new. Today I had only made one change when it came up with that message so I tried to close without saving but it wouldn't let me. I ended up killing Excel through Task Manager and when I reopened, much to my surprise, it had saved the change that it told me it couldn't.

It can't be a corrupt Office because I did a complete Repair just yesterday.

I can't actually read the warning message, but I have had no problems like this. Can you say what options are offered a screen shot of the warning might help.

I think it's time for me to close out the question. After having multiple instances of the problem before raising the question, I've been unable to replicate it since. I will resurrect the question when it happens again. At any rate, my actual question has been answered in that it doesn't appear to be a common problem. Thanks for your interest and help
