I have a related question where computer crashes until I unplug charger.
Once I unplug charger, then computer works.

Since getting universal charger I now need to do this once an hour.
With manufactures charger, much less.

If you computer is crashing when you plug in a 3rd party charge or manufacturer's charger, there may be an issue with the actual laptop you are charging. maybe something with the internal hardware or charging components. remove the batter and plug it in and see how long it will work just with the plug alone and no battery. if it works properly then it may be an issue with the battery but if the same thing happens you may have to send it in for repairs.

What if you disconnect the battery and just run straight off the charger?  I've had issues before where the battery was the culprit.
