Need to configure networking in Linux RHEL 6.5

Hi Team,

I need an help , I have RHEL 6.5 installed on my machine . Its a dual boot. Iam unable to connect to the network.
When I type ifconfig I get two entries
lo Link encap:local loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host

virbr0 Link encap:Ethernet Haddr 52:54:00:4C:9B:91
inet addr:192.168.122.1 Bcast:192.168.122.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1

How can I map the virbr0 to etho  and connect to the network

Hello Sam,

You have two options

  1. Change your network adapter connection to Bridget and then :
service network restart
ifdown virbr0
ifup virbr0

Open in new window

2. or you have to change your interface bootproto to DHCP.

3.If that doesn't work with you, you can create a new interface "eth0" for example and try again.

i get the below error nm_client_get_devices : error getting devices : the name org.freedesktop.NetworkManager was not provided by any .service files
