How to set android phone, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, to always default to a particular sender email address, when you have more than one email address synced with phone

Hi,

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and use the Gmail app on this phone for emails.

There is more than one Gmail address synced with this phone.

How do I set this phone to always default to a particular sender email address.

Thanks,
Robbie

Go to to your mail client > click the 3 lines (lines are horizontal) > click the settings cog > click the 3 dots > click set default account
That's it.

It's easier than you think. Go to the Google Account settings, delete unnecessary accounts and this problem will not bother you anymore.

Hi,

Thank you all for your suggestions.

I use the Gmail app on my phone and it seems to have a slightly different layout.

Is the only way of setting default sender address through Email app or is there a way of doing this through the Gmail app?

Thanks,
Robbie
