&nbsp;I have a physical SBS2011 box and like to set it up as a virtual machine in Hyper-V server using Disk2VHD program. <br />
&nbsp;EE experts said that I should stop all exchange related services before running Disk2VHD program and I understand why ... because you don't want to miss any emails going in and out while VHDX files are being created. I understand that.<br />
&nbsp;But If I am doing this for a test which is to create a SBS 2011 VM in test hyper-v server/environment (not in production environment), is it still necessary to stop exchange related services?<br />

Migrating SBS2011 to Virtual Environment

Hyper-V is a native hypervisor; it can create virtual machines on x86-64 systems and supersedes Windows Virtual PC as the hardware virtualization component of the client editions of Windows NT.
