CAN'T SEE MAPPED DRIVES IN FILE EXPLORER FOR A BACKUP PROGRAM

Why can't I see mapped drives when I am searching for a destination location for a backup program I am using?  I use a free file backup program called AOMEI Backupper and I want to backup the DOCUMENTS folder to a mapped drive folder on the network.  When I click on THIS PC I do not see the mapped drives as I do when I click right into THIS PC.  See screenshots.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Sorry forgot to say that in the screenshot the mapped drivers are network locations.  Once of them is called "Engineers_Bis"

Try map the network as a drive and try again.

Could it be that you don't know that mapped drives are not seen in elevated sessions?
That should mean that if you are elevating the backup program (which would be somewhat expected), it wouldn't see the drives that the unelevated user has mapped.

You can try this and it should help: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3035277/mapped-drives-are-not-available-from-an-elevated-prompt-when-uac-is-co - don't forget to restart the computer before you try.

I will try that.  Why does this not happen in Windows 7 PRO?  The problem only is in Windows 10 PRO.

Should make no difference. Maybe that key is set in Win7 without you knowing about it - verify that. Or UAC is off on Win7 - that would be my guess.
