I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

this is because chrome has built-in pdf viewer. you should save the file, and then open it from there. even firefox or edge has their own built-in pdf viewer. and this is to eliminate the need of other 3rd party pdf tools like acrobat.

Is there a way to open directly from the website?  Save, editor, upload it is too many steps for a end user to edit a pdf.
Sam Simon NasserIT Support ProfessionalCommented:
as far as i know, NO! because browser built-in or acrobat reader is for READING pdf files. if you want to edit them, you need a professional version that allows you to edit or modify, which is not found in the browsers.
