Exchange 2007 server - Event ID 474 and 705 and Source ESE

Hi

We are using Exchange 2007 and planning to migrate to 0365 by another 4 months. Every two days or 1 day once the exchange server goes offline in the morning hours and during this instant when I restart the information store on the exchange the server comes online again and user mail boxes gets updated.

Please see the snapshot on the event viewer  and I get Event ID 474 and 705 and I think this is where the problem is  and not sure what should have gone wrong with our exchange server.
Please guys post me step by step instructions to resolve this.

Thanks in advance!

Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Event ID 474: Hey,  this Error generated when Exchange Database page read failed verification because of Page Checksum Mismatch.  Also known as 1018 Error in Exchange

Reason for Error: This Error occurs when specific database page that is referenced within the Exchange store file (for example, priv1.edb or database ) is Corrupted.

Solution: Try to run system diagnostic tests. These tests may not be conclusive if the problem is infrequent and transient, or if it occurs only under very complex loads.

You can migrate to different hardware system.

Hi Lianne,

Normally with this error. The most recommend step it is to create new database and migrate all the mailboxes to a new database.

There are 500 mail boxes and if I migrate to a new database, do I need to reconfigure the outlook client on the user workstations?

Hi Lianne,

No you do not need to reconfigure the Outlook client on the user workstantions.

You need to migrate carefully checking the space that you have in hard disk.
